Welcome to ACP DYSS

The African Caribbean Pacific Diaspora Youth Support Services (ACP DYSS) is a Not-for-Profit organization of Diaspora youth in Europe from the African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) group of countries.



Our goal is to be the conduit and development catalyst of ACP Diaspora and grassroot youth in the development of ACP countries through Re-education and Working together to restore and showcase the Pan African dignity and ensure collective Self-Realization.


Our Objectives

  • To be the Conduit of ACP Diaspora youth in Europe for development activities in the ACP regions.
  • To promote Pan Africanism through re-education and working together with ACP diaspora youth and grassroot organisations to achieve collective self-realization.
  • To work together with ACP diaspora youth and grassroot for capacity building to respond to developmental challenges and encourage dependency on African efforts for sustainable development.
  • Keep the ACP Diaspora youth informed about ACP regional development policy.
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of joint development interventions with ACP grass root youth organizations.
  • To mobilise resources and facilitate engagement of ACP Diaspora youth in development projects.

ACP DYSS IS ALREADY ACTIVE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES

CAMEROON

ACP DYSS Cameroon Chapter is registered under the Ministry of Territorial Administration in Cameroon and led by their Chairperson – Nchang Cho Clinton. The organization has engaged the youth and the community in development activities such as giving motivational speeches in different primary and secondary schools, youth organizations, television studios, etc. in Cameroon. Currently, the Cameroon Chapter has an ongoing, robust poultry farm project in collaboration with one of its partners. The Cameroon Chapter looks forward to welcoming more Cameroonian youth to join and be part of this youth empowerment movement

KENYA

The Kenya Chapter, led by their chairperson, Elsam Ojing was registered under the NGO Registration Board of Kenya.

The Kenya Chapter is looking at starting some community and agricultural projects with maize farming. So far, the chapter has facilitated street children's empowerment, girl-child support, and youth job creation.


The Kenya Chapter looks forward to welcoming more Kenyan youth to join and be part of this youth empowerment movement


SURINAME

ACP DYSS Suriname Chapter is operational, was registered under Kkf and is currently embarking on the tomato farm project and other agricultural projects and youth development projects. The Suriname Chapter looks forward to welcoming more Surinamese youth to join and be part of this youth empowerment movement


NIGERIA

ACP DYSS Nigeria is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and led by Ola Abolarin. Currently, plans are on the ground to start up some youth development projects in agriculture, entrepreneurship, education, and so on. The Nigerian Chapter looks forward to welcoming more Nigerian youth to join and be part of this youth empowerment movement


ACP DYSS members are made up of Youth living both in the diaspora and grassroots from the ACP countries.

It might interest you to know that we have members across some European countries, such as Belgium, the UK, the USA, Africa, and the Caribbean.

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR MEMBERS

You can choose to join us as a Country Representative or an Ordinary Member

COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE

As a Country representative, you will act as a liaison officer, a facilitator, and a consultant to ACP-based youth and organizations. A Country Representative will be fully involved in ACP DYSS projects

  • Engage in interview observations.
  • Interview/recruit other Country Representatives and Community Members
  • Understand and explain ACP DYSS Mission, Vision, Objectives and Operational Strategy
  • Build a community of youth in your country (Engage in ACP youth sensitization campaign towards community development, capacity building and youth leadership and governance)
  • Be a conduit for diaspora and grassroots youth from your country.
  • Attend ACP DYSS meetings with Country Representatives and Community Members
  • Bring up projects/initiatives/suggestions/recommendations towards achieving ACP DYSS goal


MEMBER

members are our well-wishers who would not be fully involved in ACP DYSS project but can support the Country Representatives in logistics, advice, observations, attending meetings of Community members
